Conjuring Characters : An introduction to Fictional Writing with Anushka | Aug 7 | Workshop | Method Juhu
What is a story without a great character? This two-hour workshop will help you learn to make a captivating fictional persona. What makes a fictional character come to life in the reader’s mind? How can non-human elements such as objects, places, and the weather, become characters in a story? Through generative writing exercises, we will think about how to find inspiration for characters, how to inhabit their perspectives, and how a character can provide a window into the world of your story.

About the Facilitator:
Anushka is a writer and educator based in Mumbai. She has previously taught introductory workshops in fiction as well as non-fiction. She has been an Assistant Instructor in the Dept. of Rhetoric & Writing at the University of Texas-Austin where she taught undergraduate-level writing.
