ADARSH PALANDI

Adarsh Palandi (b.1995, Damoh, Madhya Pradesh) is an Indian visual artist and printmaker based in Mumbai. He earned his MFA in Printmaking from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai (2019–20), his BFA in Painting from GCAD, Nagpur (2017–18), and a Foundation Diploma from Model Art Institute, Dadar. He honed his skills at Bharat Bhavan Graphics Community Studio, Bhopal, until 2023.

Palandi primarily works in engraving techniques—etching on zinc and aluminium plates, xylography, and serigraphy—creating embossed impressions that explore layered textures and depth. His earthy pastel palettes and vibrant tones accentuate the interplay of human emotion and spatial perception, delving into how individuals respond to their environments.

He has exhibited internationally at the 8th Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland (Romania), the 22nd International Print Biennial Varna (Bulgaria), and in more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Australia. In India, his work has featured at Parikrama 2025 (Lalit Kala Akademi, Bhubaneswar), Lateral B(l)inds at STIR Gallery, Immerse with India Art Fair, and exhibitions at Bihar Museum, Nine Fish Gallery, and Alliance Francaise Bhopal.

His recognitions include the National Lalit Kala Akademi Research Scholarship (2022–23), Abir India First Take (2022), Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi Residency (2022), the Madhya Pradesh State Roopankar Vishnu Chinchalkar Award (2021), and the 1st National Ambedkar Foundation Award (2022).

Palandi continues to evolve his practice by experimenting with innovative printmaking processes that merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary reflection.
