Riya Panwar

Riya Panwar is a visual artist based in London and India, specializing in alternative photography. She explores the chemistry of photographic materials, embracing imperfections and seeking sustainable practices. With an MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art, Riya combines images and text to create unique narratives. Her experience includes a Bachelor’s in Fashion Communication and roles in Mumbai and Pune as a communication manager. She balances design methodologies with artistic freedom, pushing photography's boundaries through experimentation. Riya also emphasizes sustainability and accessibility in her work, which has been featured in platforms like Vogue India and internationally. Currently, she studies ephemeral photography and mentors others in the field.
