Saumya Mittal

Saumya is an independent graphic designer based in Mumbai, India. She's a graduate of the London College of Communication and has a wide-ranging experience in branding, editorial, and information design. She's worked with organizations like the UN, Wateraid, PMNCH, Transform Health, and philanthropists like Nandan and Rohini Nilekani, which has shaped her focus on social and human-centered design.

Saumya has a unique way of using data to explore hidden aspects of Indian culture. Her work aims to share important facts about India, touching on topics like religion, food, gender, marriage, mental health, and the environment. She does this to bridge knowledge gaps and challenge common assumptions using a mix of qualitative and quantitative data, all brought to life through graphic design.

Her series, 'From Statistics to Stories,' can be found at Fluxus Chapel in Mumbai and was recently featured at the Bombay Zine Festival. She's also launched her own studio, 'From&To,' with a focus on information, editorial, and visual identity design.
