A very special evening with Jeet Thayil performing live spoken word alongside Maadhavan Bhattacharjee (Bongoloand) doing beats and Karan Wadhwa playing bass at Method Delhi.

Jeet Thayil (born 1959) is an Indian poet,novelist, librettist and musician. He is the author of several poetry collections, including These Errors Are Correct (2008), which won the Sahitya Akademi Award. His first novel, Narcopolis, (2012), won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, and was shortlisted for the 2012 Man Booker Prize and The Hindu Literary Prize.

Maadhavan Bhattacharjee, AKA Bongoland, is a record producer and mixing engineer known for seamlessly blending classical and contemporary sounds to craft immersive sonic experiences. Raised in a family of musicians and artists, he developed a unique musical identity that bridges tradition with modern innovation. With collaborations spanning major labels like Sony Music Entertainment and Because Music, Maadhavan has worked as a producer and assistant co-producer alongside globally recognized artists such as The Weeknd, Future, A$AP Rocky, Yebba, Lizzy McAlpine, and Lolo Zouaï. Beyond the music industry, he has made a signicant impact in lm and television, contributing to projects like Disney+ Hotstar’s Gulmohar, Netix’s Shadow and Bone, and Hollywood productions The Little Mermaid and The Idol.
