The five Playstaples toy cars painted by artist Sanatan Vatsayan quickly became some of the most-loved works at the opening of Holiday Homework. Now, children have the opportunity to create their own.
Working with mixed media, spray paint, and mark-making techniques, Sanatan will guide participants in transforming a simple wooden toy car into a unique artwork. Along the way, children will explore colour, composition, and artistic experimentation, discovering that everyday toys can become one-of-a-kind creative objects.
Each participant will take home their own Playstaples car—a functional artwork they have created themselves under the guidance of the artist.
