In 2019, Method was born.
Since the beginning, being a place where artists are free to explore, experiment, and express themselves without censorship has been at the ethos of Method. Whether it be exhibiting not-for-sale installations or highly political art, Method always done its best to align with its mission. However, this is not something we could have done without the creativity and dedication of the artists we work with.
Portrait of a Time is a reflection of the past and the future. In this show, we present more than 40 artists we have worked with over the years and will work with in the future. For anyone who has been to Method, the show will conjure up feelings of reminiscence while also evoking something new.
Each artist was asked to use the word “Portrait” as a starting point for the work they created specifically for this show. As each artist has their own distinctive style and interpretation, the works vary drastically.
