Aditya Dhabhai

Aditya Dhabhai is a contemporary sculptor from Udaipur, Rajasthan, whose practice explores the intricate relationship between materiality, symbolism, and the human condition. A graduate of MSU Baroda with a specialization in sculpture, Aditya’s work is deeply inspired by his lived experiences, including his time spent in Baroda, where the presence of reptiles, particularly lizards, became central to his artistic narrative. These creatures, representing resilience, adaptability, and stoicism, mirror his reflections on survival and societa expectations.

His approach is rooted in an intuitive relationship with materials, allowing their unique characteristics to guide the conceptual and creative process.

Influenced by anime, manga, and the overlooked nuances of daily life, Aditya’s work delves into themes of hyper-masculinity, identity, and vulnerability, offering a deeply personal yet universally resonant commentary on the human experience.

Having worked in Goa, Baroda, and Delhi, Aditya has showcased his artin group exhibitions across India and has conducted workshops to share his expertise and engage with diverse audiences, creating works that reflect the silent struggles an resilience inherent in both humanity and nature.
