POOJAN GUPTA

Poojan Gupta (b.1998, India) is an artist and practice-based researcher working between London and Jaipur. She is known for her experimental sculptures and interactive installations using discarded pharmaceutical blister packs, exploring themes of minimalism, environmental impact, and her Hindu upbringing. By transforming disposable materials, she creates sensorial experiences that challenge perceptions of waste and value.

Poojan holds an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins, London (2022-24), an MFA in Painting from Visva-Bharati University (2019-21), and a BVA in Painting from The IIS University, India (2015-19). Her cross-cultural education informs her innovative approach to sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, blending contemporary practices with ritualistic traditions and ecological concerns.

Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London (2024), Austrian Cultural Forum (2024), Emami Art, Kolkata (2024), and RBI, India (2016), among others. She has received several accolades, including the Maison/0 This Earth Awards 2024 and the Sri Swami Haridas Giri Scholarship, Oxford (2024).
