Prachi Sahasrabudhe

Prachi’s work conveys a diverse visualization and allows for a free flow of ideas and spontaneity. The emotions evoked by her art pave the way to delve deeper into the colors, textures, and lyrical meaning carved on the canvases. The beauty of reflection in Prachi’s artwork can be felt in the bursts of color and movement, inspired by the ever-changing rhythms of nature and the human spirit. Her art evokes feelings of liberation and serenity, cultivating an ephemeral connection that rests dormant deep within oneself. Through her work, she attempts to embrace the uncertainty of existence and chaos.

Predominantly utilizing drawing and printmaking mediums, she engages in a gradual process of image making that mirrors the evolution of thought. The layered approach inherent in printmaking allows for the reconstruction of experiences and memories while fostering new perspectives. This process culminates in visual artworks that embody multiple layers of thought and color, with a preference for printmaking techniques such as reduction woodcut and intaglio, alongside some mixed media explorations in recent years.

Prachi typically works on multiple series simultaneously, addressing themes segregated as Nature, Self-Expression, Human Emotions, Social Surroundings and Fantasy. Each body of work consists of various themes and narratives, often sparked by daily occurrences that inspire deep contemplation. She prefers metaphorical titles, allowing viewers the freedom to interpret the artwork through their own perceptions.
