SMRITI RASTOGI

Smriti Rastogi

Smriti Rastogi is a multidisciplinary artist who is interested in decoding the language of every day by forming disjointed connections that emit the jointness of the connections. Every day is constantly mutating and reproducing itself, a flux over stagnation. She’s interested in the multiplicity of the perspectives that are brought together to arrive at a synthesis. Her inquiry lies in understanding the formation of everyday gestures. It’s no more about “do” or “think” in one way but about “doing” and “thinking” in multiple ways. The thoughts and actions are churning along with the rhythm of a historical understanding of the present. Our thinking is informed by a plethora of knowledge structures, and therefore, an individual is a combination of individuals who participate in the everyday, denouncing the baggage of an alienated self that is far removed from the social.
