Innocence drips from IV lines, a transparent myth diluted into the metallic air. Machines murmur their cold lullabies while breath negotiates with silence, and the body becomes an unfinished sentence suspended between pulse and punctuation.
Humanity folds inward here—its scaffolding bending like wet paper, its promises cracking under surgical light. What remains are fragments: a palmprint evaporating from glass, a whisper snagged in the throat of a ventilator, a gaze dissolving into antiseptic dusk. Collapse is not an explosion but a slow choreography—gravity rehearsing its patience.
A dialectic trembles beneath the skin: the feverish ambition to become something other than flesh, to ascend into abstraction, to forget the weight of being—yet the limbs refuse the script. Execution falters. Becoming stutters. The self circles its own perimeter like a moth intoxicated by its shadow.
History, meanwhile, refuses a straight line. It curves like a spine under pressure, like a horizon warped by heat. It bends toward amnesia, toward spectacle, toward repetition disguised as progress. Time pools in corners, staining the present with the residue of its previous failures.
