"La Bella Simonetta" exists today as a hybrid, existing in both the past and the future. She embodies the nature of the past and the technology of the future. A merging of two worlds.

Simonetta Vespucci, an Italian noblewoman, was originally painted by the Italian Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli. You may recognise her flowing red hair from his other paintings, one of the most famous being ‘The Birth of Venus’. She was celebrated as the greatest beauty of her time in Florence, Italy, and was painted by many artists of the era.

To make her culturally suitable for the future, parts of an android have been integrated into her design. Simonetta died young, at the age of 22, yet she lives on in works like these, because a muse never dies—they are only reinvented.
