Trap II by Akash Biswas
An original artwork by Akash Biswas.
At the heart of 'Trap II' ies the symbolism of coral as both structure and memory, represented through delicate, fragmented forms and layered textures. The large, translucent shape resembling a fin, leaf, or coral blade suggests a fossilized remnant — something once alive, now static and suspended in time. Its tissue-like transparency may allude to bleached corals, which lose their vibrant color and life due to stress, warming, or pollution.
This artwork was exhibited at Method Delhi in the group exhibition "Formation & Fracture" a group exhibition featuring alumni from IMMERSE by Somaiya Vidyavihar University (July 2025).
