Your Perfect Tits Series: Delftware Dual, by Nandini Chandavarkar

In this series, I focus on a single aspect of my body: my breasts. I explore the historical context behind comments “perky” and “tight.” Concepts from anatomy, such as cross-sections, extrusion, appendages, and the sexualised body types commonly portrayed in pornography, further shape my understanding of these words. 

Life-size representations play an essential role in these works. The protruding glossy, glazed nipple invites action– to flick, grab, grope, stimulate and so on. By juxtaposing white porcelain against terracotta, I further emphasise the postcolonial tensions shaped by Western influences on Indian identity.
