Sage imagines a world where cultures like hip-hop are re-envisioned as a religion, with breaking as a core spiritual practice. These cross-temporal and cross-cultural figures evoke a sense of timelessness, rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern urban influences, bridging our collective past, present, and future.

SAGE

Rahul Singh Yadav, aka "Sage," is a Mumbai-based artist redefining contemporary self-expression through immersive installations, street art, and sculptural interventions. A self-taught creative, his practice is deeply rooted in graffiti, architecture, and street culture, blending aesthetics with purpose to create works that are both visually striking and socially engaged.

Sage's art emerged from a personal transformation—when an autoimmune condition ended his b-boying journey, he turned to visual storytelling, channeling movement into design. His early projects in advertising led him to co-found Floating Canvas Company, an initiative aimed at democratizing contemporary art. However, it was his large-scale public artworks that cemented his presence in the art world.

In 2019, Sage debuted It Never Goes Away, a towering 27-foot plastic monster installation at Bandra-Worli Sea Link, confronting viewers with the reality of plastic pollution. This set the stage for further bold interventions, including Sole Food at Lakmé Fashion Week and numerous public art collaborations that transformed urban landscapes. His interest in spatial design evolved into projects like crafting a sneaker store for Mainstreet Marketplace and an avant-garde Nike-inspired chair for Air Max Day.

Sage’s ability to merge cultural narratives with contemporary design reached new heights with Tetrapods (2022), an illuminated beach installation synchronized with ocean waves, bridging technology and nature. His latest body of work, Path of Sage, explores mythology, hip-hop, anime, and streetwear through interactive sculptures and collectibles, reflecting his multidisciplinary vision.

With an ever-evolving practice that challenges the boundaries of art, fashion, and urban design, Sage is an artist shaping the future of contemporary storytelling—one boundary-pushing creation at a time.
