Abeer Khan

Abeer Khan is a filmmaker and photographer whose work spans documentary, narrative, brand films, and video art. Her projects delve into themes of inequality, gender roles, memory, and spaces through a contemplative lens.

Khan's practice began as a meditative exploration of her sense of identity. Over time, she discovered that this process not only shaped her identity but also transformed her observations. Her work resonates with a deeply personal note, delivered through a blend of quietude, charm, and subtle grain.

As a self-taught artist, Khan eschews conventional rules or moulds. She embraces the fluidity of interchanging disciplines, immersing herself in her work, and continually deconstructing and reshaping her identity until the art emerges, accompanied by a renewed sense of self.
