Abhishek Dasgupta, a Kolkata-born photographer, engages in a profound exploration of humanity's imprint on time and vice versa, as he seeks to trace the psyche in flux. His work embodies a fascination with transcending mortal boundaries, acting as a medium between people and the cosmos. The interconnected concepts of microcosm (the body), mesocosm (earth), and macrocosm (cosmos) are central to his artistic philosophy, forming a triadic framework that informs his visual narrative.

Raised in Kolkata, the “City of Joy,” amidst a culture rich in music, art, and spirituality, Dasgupta’s background cultivated his philosophical inclinations and deep interest in mysticism and metaphysics. This unique upbringing, combined with a lifelong curiosity, drives his inquiries into form, space, and emptiness. Through his lens, Dasgupta invites viewers into a realm where the visible meets the invisible, challenging perceptions and encouraging reflection on existence, identity, and the expansive universe.
