Methodologically Modular by Jeff Nelson (Echofloat)
Methodologically Modular' by Jeff Nelson a.k.a ECHOFLOAT uses exterior facade photographs of Method Gallery's building in Kala Ghoda - Mumbai, India - as base layers to reconstruct. Selectively extracting the building's structural features to visually amplify existing and reimagined artefacts, the central dominant structure of the building remains as do the colors.
This artwork, while largely is my response to Sahil and Emma's question of what a portrait means to me, it is also my homage to a community space that shapeshifts and culturally crosses over into many different ideas and mediums of expression. 'Methodologically Modular' - is a portrait of a building.
