    Dheeraj Jadhav

Dheeraj Vasanta Jadhav (b. 1994, Golwadee) is a visual artist based in Mumbai, India. He holds an MFA (2024) and BFA (2018) from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Theory, Aesthetics, and Practice (CTAP) from Jnanapravaha, Mumbai (2019).

Jadhav's multidisciplinary practice investigates how sensory experiences—sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—are shaped by the environments we inhabit. Through an intuitive process of documentation and material exploration, he works with drawing, painting, photography, charcoal, ink, dry pastel, watercolor, collage, and oil paints. His experiments often focus on how color, mark-making, and space can be used both around and within language.

He was awarded the Art for Hope Grant (2024) for his community project Nomadic Narratives: Unveiling Banjara Essence Through Art and Ink. His work has been featured in several exhibitions and programs including the Geography of Consumption workshop at the Mohile Parekh Centre.
