Dhruvi Jain
Dhurvi jain born in 1999 in Indore, is a contemporary artist based in baroda. Her work explores the psyche, the gap between language and emotions and the unrealised. She uses
clay and drawings as her medium of expression using it with an intuitive approach, to let go of the deception and for absurdities to exist. Her work serves as a psychological inquiry, translating the weight of suppressed emotions and the remnants of the subconscious into tactile forms.
Her process-driven approach explores how internal states of mind and hidden narratives manifest through the vulnerability of clay and line. Based in Baroda, she earned her Master’s (2024) and Bachelor’s (2022) degrees in Sculpture from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Dhruvi was a recipient of the Abir First Take (2023) and the Best Display Award by the Maati Foundation (2024).
Her work has been showcased in cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Goa. Following a residency at Sandarbh (Rajasthan), she is currently a resident artist at vis-à-vis studio, Baroda, where she continues her practice.
