A Mind Within A Space by Mona Sharma

A Mind Within A Space by Mona Sharma

Looking back on her childhood, Mona makes a connection between spaces lived in and memories shared. Spaces can persist when all else fades from memory. They have an ability to remain ours, even when the corporeality may differ. The missing elements reside in memory, bridging the gap to bring the past into the present.

Spaces change, and that change may bring about unrest. Things simultaneously fall in and out of place. ‘A Mind Within A Space’ is a place of reliability. It is an invitation to an inquiry of the intricate relationship we share with our intimate world—that which houses us—and the interplay of this relationship.

It is a portal into the movement of life and the surroundings it happens in, exploring the self through an exploration of home. This body of work captures the feel of space and the place it holds in personhood.
