Nishi Sharma

Nishi (b. 1978, Banda, Uttar Pradesh) is a Delhi-based artist known for her innovative exploration of themes and techniques in drawing and painting. A Master’s graduate from Kanpur University (2001), she has been actively contributing to the art scene for over two decades.

Her work has been featured in 46 group shows across India and abroad, seven solo exhibitions at prominent venues like Lalit Kala Akademi, Nehru Art Center, ICCR, and Triveni Kala Sangam, and the India Art, Architecture, and Design Biennale (2023). She has also participated in prestigious art events such as the National Art Festival (Kochi), National Art Camp (Mount Abu), and a residency at NIV Art Center (2013).

Honored with the Junior Fellowship (2017-18) by the Ministry of Culture, her achievements include selection for the 91st and 96th All India Art Exhibitions at AIFACS, New Delhi. Nishi continues to deepen her practice from her Delhi-based studio, blending tradition with contemporary expressions.
