Open Relays from the Sun by Sehaj Malik
Open Relays from the sun is a point of interaction. An interaction between two swirling bodies that are part machine and part organic. Between receiving hand imprints that form and evolve as parts of the machines they operate. Between the gestures of the body and the receiving canvas. The work explores the interconnectivities of man and machine, as well as the environment they co-exist in. A conjunction point of two seemingly opposite entities, yields an idea - a reality that is fantastical, cosmic, and strange.
An original artwork by Sehaj Malik from her debut solo exhibition "Points of Cont(act)" at Method Delhi.

Sehaj Malik
Sehaj Malik is a final-year masters student at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris. She is working under the atelier of Werhner Bouwens. She creates instruction-based drawings to focus on zones of the body. Working often in charcoal, her practice develops through the physical displacement of the body, by pushing it to points of fatigue.
