I decided to paint the part of me that feels dark or negative the version of myself I want to overcome. It’s not easy, but to defeat this side, I must dive deeper into myself. As I’ve mentioned before, flowers feel like magic to me; they guide and inspire me. Yet, this darker part of me is the one that pulls me away from that path. I’ve decided to create a self-portrait not just of how I look, but of the version of myself that lies deep within .I added orange to this palette to represent hope. I wanted to start with orange, and fortunately, I think I have the space to use it here so I included it.

This artwork was exhibited at Method Kala Ghoda in the group exhibition "In the Small, Infinite" (June 2025).
