The Secret - Me and Myself by M. Imran Ahamed

The Secret - Me and Myself” is a story about the one responsible for my sleepless nights and the reason behind them.

When I asked him about it, he started narrating the tale of a little boy.

He: "The little boy keeps tormenting me over the same thing again and again. I believed he would give up at some point, but that never happened.”

“For God's sake, will you stop yapping now?" I yelled at him.

Then, everything started changing.

He fell silent and slowly closed his eyes.

Then, he came running toward me and strangled my neck... The unpleasant voice whispered the same thing over and over again in my ears:

"I can't... This must stop. I can't do as he says. You must stop him, otherwise, for God's sake, please do what he says."

Me: "What...?" I stammered. "How can I...? Why can't you...?"

He: "Are you even aware of what you're saying? I died two years ago... How can I?"

Perplexed, I looked at both of them. Strangely, they both looked exactly like me.
