Aditya Dhabhai
Aditya Dhabhai is a sculptor based in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his B.V.A. in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 2024, where his practice developed through a close engagement with material, form, and traditional techniques. Working with multiple materials such as ceramic, metal casting, oil and acrylic, his work is rooted in tactile processes and an intuitive approach to making.
Having moved across different places since early life, Aditya’s sense of belonging has remained fluid, something that quietly informs his relationship with space, material, and form. This experience often finds its way into his practice, where making becomes a way of grounding, holding, and negotiating that transience.
His time in Baroda played a significant role in shaping his artistic language, and he continues to draw from that influence while working from the relatively quieter context of Udaipur. Alongside his studio practice, he has facilitated pottery workshops and founded Naagshakti Studio as a way to build a more immediate and shared engagement with material and community.
