As the Indian government works to raise the legal marriage age for women from 18 to 21, this booklet seeks to explore and visualize key marriage trends in contemporary India.

It examines how marriage patterns have evolved in recent years, reflecting changing societal norms, economic factors, and the shifting roles of women in both the family and the workforce. The data presented highlights the growing trend of delayed marriages, particularly among women, and the factors influencing this shift, such as education, career ambitions, and urbanization.
