The Violence of Vegetarianism by Saumya Mittal
This booklet examines the intricate politics of food in India, focusing on the intersection of culture, identity, and dietary choices.
Through infographics, it visualizes the tensions and conflicts surrounding the enforcement of vegetarianism in a country where non-vegetarian consumption is both widespread and steadily increasing. The content sheds light on how food practices are shaped by social, religious, and political forces, often leading to debates, discrimination, and even violence in the name of dietary conformity.
