हम सहमत हैं by Mohd. Intiyaz captures a moment of quiet defiance, blending acrylic painting and traditional Islamic embroidery to evoke the 2019 Shaheen Bagh protests. The central figure, a boy painting "We The People of India" on the street, becomes a symbol of resistance, reclaiming citizenship in a nation increasingly divided by the politics of exclusion.

Green, the dominant color, asserts itself against the rising saffron tide of Hindutva, symbolizing the struggle of India's Muslim community to maintain its place within the national fabric. The act of painting on the street—a fleeting gesture—is transformed into a permanent declaration of identity and protest.

The delicate embroidery, traditionally associated with domestic craft, takes on new meaning here as a metaphor for the slow, meticulous work of resistance. Surrounding the central scene, it anchors the boy's action within a broader cultural and historical context, transforming the personal act of protest into a collective memory.

Intiyaz’s work reminds us that resistance can be subtle, emerging not through grand declarations but through everyday acts of defiance—quiet, persistent, and unyielding. It is a meditation on the power of the individual to inscribe their place in a contested national narrative, even in the face of erasure.
